Being a Panel Member in Shetland

As part of your role as a Panel Member in Shetland you will be expected to commit to sit on two - three children's hearings every month and also to attend six learning and development opportunities per year.

Local Training Events

There will be a variety of local training evenings every year, organised by the Learning and Development Co-ordinator (LDC). You should attend as many of these as possible. Local training will focus on local services available to families and practice issues particular to Shetland. These events also provide you an opportunity to meet with fellow Panel Members to develop supportive relationships

Hearings schedule

Hearing dates are held as and when required on weekdays during the day.
