Are you passionate about keeping children at the heart of every decision? Children's Hearings Scotland is recruiting Panel Practice Advisors (PPA) to join our national volunteer community. 

Panel Practice Advisors play a central role in supporting the outcomes of the children's hearings system, lending their robust assessment, observation, and communication skills to the process. They are responsible for selecting and recommending Panel Members for the appointment. In addition, PPAs regularly observe Panel Members during children's hearings and provide encouraging feedback to ensure the best decisions for Scotland's infants, children and young people.

To be considered for the role, you will be enthusiastic and committed to securing children's and young people's rights and improving their outcomes and experiences; be able to lead and work as part of a team; be a strong communicator. You should also be familiar with working with volunteers and demonstrate a strong commitment to and understanding of the ethos of Children's Hearings Scotland.

In return, you will receive comprehensive training to enhance your skills in leadership, effective communication, managing conflict and influencing and negotiating – all of which are transferable into the workplace.
