Opportunity: Board members for Children's Hearings Scotland

The Scottish Government is seeking to appoint up to three members of the Board of Children's Hearings Scotland.

The opportunity follows a year of change at CHS in which the transition to our new Tribunal Support Model was completed, and as we prepare for further changes that will follow the Scottish Government’s Hearings Redesign Consultation and the implementation of the Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Act 2024.

Scottish Government appointments

These are public appointments made by Scottish Ministers; full details are available on the Scottish Government Jobs website. The closing date is 27 January 2025.

The job advert states: 'We are looking for up to three new members to help the Chair and senior management team to steer CHS through a period of change and challenge, helping to shape the vision for the future of the Children’s Hearings System while delivering Ministers’ priorities for the system as it is now, and in the coming years.'

Board members are expected to devote up to two days a month to the role.

Visit the Scottish Government Jobs website for further information and to apply.
